I am a Transformative Artist, working in both studio and live performance art, with a focus both studio and live illustration, painting, and sculpture.

Trained in fine & performing arts (as well as graphic design and animation), I am currently creating art in my Oakland studio spaces, and displaying the art in venues throughout the Bay Area. I am also regularly performing live throughout the Bay Area and beyond, doing live performance illustration, painting (with Zen Bullies), and sculpture, mostly in nightclub settings, to the music of dj's, or with live musicians/bands.

My studio art currently holds my focus with the essence of my new work being that of "essential" paintings... which involve a conscious dreaming... including: a layering of etheric fields of color and visual texture. The resulting effect is both sublime and though provoking. The work calls the view to consider a deeper dream, and in the process, a more conscious reality.

In live performance, I actively both experience the spontaneous choreography of my body's own intuitive expression, through dynamic motion, as well as illustrating imagery, and inviting the viewer to engage with my creative process though witnessing the creation of live illustration, painting, and sculpture. Though my focus is on the experiential process of the creative expression/artmaking, I am equally grateful for the wonderful artifacts that this dynamic process yields. These art pieces are both stunning, and intriguing as well, providing both a visual record in symbolic form, of a dynamic creation process, as well as being interesting standalone pieces in and of themselves.

I am also currently deep in the Master of Arts in Transformative Arts program, at John F. Kennedy University's School of Holistic Studies, Department of Arts & Consciousness, in Berkeley, California. In this intensive program, we learn, explore, develop, create and collaborate with other graduate students, instructors, and the community/society as artists focusing on the process and healing power of artmaking, and the essential presence we, the art, and the process share with space in our own lives, the lives of others, in community, and the world as a whole now, and how this can help nurture a more loving future as well.
